Going to the State Fair of Texas?

The State Fair of Texas begins this week on September 30th!

The main entrance to the Fair is just a few blocks down Exposition Avenue from the Deep Ellumphants. Here are a couple of murals that you're likely to see if you go to the Fair this year.

This is a lovely monochrome mural in the parking area at 809 Exposition - you'll definitely see it if you travel south on Exposition.

This next one is at 3609 Parry, right across from the main Fair entrance. It's bright, brash, and colorful, advertising a 2021 Rolling Stones concert and the art gallery at the same address.

Tarantino's closed permanently after the recent flooding. Rainbow Vomit is closed during the Fair.

If you go to the Fair itself, you'll find an abundance of Art Deco architecture and murals scattered throughout the park.
