Austin, TX - East to West on 6th and Thereabouts
Sixth Street from east of I-35 to Clarksville had several neon hotspots.
At night neon magic happened along 6th Street as restaurants and bars geared up for business. Here are some memorable signs that we've seen.
We walked down 6th on the east side of I-35 in 2020 to get these images.
Hut's Hamburgers was a cherished hangout for many years. This whole area is a favorite spot for party people.
The stretch of 6th between Lamar and the Clarksville area in 2015 was bright with neon. Rounders Pizzeria and their sign moved to Jonestown along FM1431. Cafe Josie and Z Tejas have closed.
North of 6th on Lynn is another area to see. Nau's Enfield Drug is worth a visit!
