Sunday Number Two (9/11/2022)

We began the second Sunday of our Month of Sundays project (here) by photographing the mural on the east side of the Brake and Clutch Building at Main and Exposition.

Back in March, we captured murals from the Trigger Fingers show on Trunk Avenue south of Canton Street. Since then we've seen additional works on Trunk, and we photographed them today.

Just around the corner from Trigger Fingers on Hickory Street (32.783971, -96.775539) we found these two works.

Later, we headed north to 200 South Trunk Avenue (32.783971, -96.775539), just past Canton Street, where there are several works on the wall of a parking garage.

Even though these murals are at the eastern edge of Deep Ellum, it was nice to see families parking to see these up close and take pictures.

Sometimes Serendipity treats us to creation in progress. At the corner of Walton and Taylor in southwest Deep Ellum, we saw artist Mike McPheeters with assistant Ed working on the walls of the manufacturing plant there - the south wall was complete and they were about half finished with the west wall. Mike was nice enough to let us take his picture - we'll show the finished work in a later post.
