More on Main, Sunday 14
One of several Deep Ellum Christmas banners

(12/18/2022)

Deep Ellum has nice street banners that change regularly and showcase local artists' work. In our Sunday #9 post, we showed you the Halloween banners - the banners below celebrate the winter holidays for 2022!

We found ourselves at the northwest corner of Main and Malcolm X last week after seeing the work in the Harlowe MXM courtyard. Continuing east on Main, there's a parking area with a Deep Ellum neon sign next to the Nines bar, which has a cool cat mural by JoeSkilz52 as well as Riley Forever.

Across Main is the Warstic sporting goods showroom and factory, with monochrome eagles on the sides of the building facing Main as well as Malcolm X.

You'll also see the David Coley mural on the side of The Quixotic World touting the Magikal Theatrical Event Space at this intersection of Main and Malcolm X.

We walked east past Warstic, and saw this pretty retaining wall at Maracas Cocina.

We'll be back after the New Year with more posts from Deep Ellum as we work on our Month of Sundays project. We are making progress!

Enjoy. Join us and share your thoughts in the comments below.

Merry Christmas!
