Trigger Fingers 2022

After we moved back to Dallas, we stumbled upon an annual event called Trigger Fingers sponsored by the group Graff Kitchen on South Trunk Avenue at Hickory. We are glad we did!

Fresh paint on the logo.

In late March, after we moved back to Dallas, my Intrepid Companion noticed a social post about a mural that a friend's son-in-law (Tony Curanaj) was creating on the southernmost part of Deep Ellum. We made a visit and realized that we had stumbled into an annual event called Trigger Fingers sponsored by the group Graff Kitchen (Trigger Fingers) on South Trunk Avenue at Hickory (location 32.782078, -96.773524) in Dallas.

Trunk Avenue is not really a street, more like an industrial ex-warehouse parking lot close by the DPD Central Patrol Division. Whatever Trunk Avenue is, there is a lot of wall space to showcase local artists.

The first work was by @scribeswalk @emit_df @tukeone and @tonycuranaj .

Look closely and you can see all KINDS of stuff going on.

Pictures don't really do justice to the colors of these works on a sunny day.
The mix of graffiti and pictorial art was wonderful.
I like the abstract as well!
Monsters glowed in the sunlight.
This eagle was the last piece completed.

All of these were on the west wall of the area. On the OTHER side of the street was a four-story mural on the wall of an old warehouse that has been there for a while.

Enjoy!
