A Month of Sundays
Sundays are the best time to go mural hunting since there's generally less chance of being run over or of cars blocking the view of smaller works. So, the project has become a challenge to document what lies upon the walls of each block of Deep Ellum.
On a recent Sunday exploration of Deep Ellum (here), my intrepid companion and I were struck by the sheer number of murals tucked away in Deep Ellum. Wow. We talked about how it would take, as Grandpa would say, 'a month of Sundays' to capture and share them.
That's how it began. On a whim, I counted the number of blocks in the area roughly bounded by Exposition, Elm, Canton, and Good-Latimer. There are roughly 30 blocks of buildings in the area, of course (!). I sensed Serendipity whispering "Now here's a project!".

We have a start with the post on Trigger Fingers on Trunk Avenue, as well as the post on Murray Street. The objective, then, is to post work from at least one different block of Deep Ellum once a week over the next year. At the end, hopefully, we'll have captured a slice of time for your enjoyment.
